Nicholai Olivia Hilton commonly known as Nicky Hilton, was born in 1983 and is an American heiress, businesswoman, socialite, celebutante, model and fashion designer. Nicky is the granddaughter of the Conrad Hilton, founder and owner of Hilton Hotels.
Nicky was born in New York and grew up in Los Angeles. She was raised in a wealthy Roman Catholic family. Richard Hilton (father) is a businessman and Kathy Hilton (mother) used to be an actress. Nicky was named after Conrad Nicholson Hilton Jr., her uncle. Nicky has one older sister who was born in 1981 and two younger brothers named Conrad Hughes Hilton III and Barron Nicholas II, born in 1994 and 1989, respectively.
In 2001, Nicky Hilton accomplished her graduation from Convent of the Sacred Heart. In addition to this, she took various courses at Parsons The New School for Design and Fashion Institute of Technology. From these two educational institutes she didn’t receive a degree but definitely learnt her subjects well and this is why she is where she is now.
Three years after this, she launched her clothing line and also designed a handbag collection for Samantha Thavasa, a company originally from Japan. In 2007, she launched a second line named Nicholai, that was much expensive. The collection was displayed in a fashion show a year later for the spring and summer seasons in New York at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
Apart from fashion designing, she also pursued modeling as her career. Nicky was the face of Antz Pantz (Australian undergarment line) along with Kimberly Stewart in 2005. Later, she was replaced by Megan Maitland while Stewart was still working. Around that time, she modeled for the Romanian and New Zealand editions of Lucire magazine cover.
Moving on this lady has much more up her sleeves than just fashion. In 2006, she opened Nicky O Hotels in a partnership – first was launched in Miami and the second one in Chicago. Unfortunately after a year her partners sued her for breach of contract.
After this an ill-fated event took place in her life in 2010, Nicky along with her sister were ceased at the Narita Airport by immigration officers in Japan because Paris (Nicky’s sister) was convicted for drug ownership a day before. Under the strict laws of the country, all those accused of a drug crime are not allowed to enter Japan. The reason for visiting the nation was a news conference which was being held in Tokyo to promote the fragrance and fashion line by Paris alongside Nicky. According to the media persons and publicists of these two women, the airport officials interrogated the sisters for hours and were urged to stay near the airport area in a hotel. As a result of this chaotic trip, their scheduled stopovers at other countries like Malaysia and Indonesia were canceled since the two countries have even more strong laws against drug carriers, users and distributors.
Moving away from this and turning towards Nicky’s personal life – she married Todd Andrew Meister, an entrepreneur and her childhood companion. The ceremony took place in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Wedding Chapel. Just after three months the marriage was nullified since the two traveled separately a lot and the marriage was just a result of an impulse action.
