Afterwards, he moved in 1997 to London in order to do his Masters of Art in Menswear at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design where he enjoyed tremendously and appreciated the healthy competitive atmosphere. He chose to live in London, because he has loved England forever and according to Peter, the people of the city think out of the box. Two years later, he graduated with distinction. Consequently created his eponymous label for menswear and soon introduced his women’s apparel line.

His designs are characterized through inspiration from popular culture and many a times there is a reference to the cult or infamous figures. His womenswear range is consistently named after and inspired from strong headed females, such as Tina Barney, Mary Miles Minter, Tonya Harding, Cindy Sherman, Nina Simone, and his Aunt Jytte.

The designer has been honored by the support of many respected writers, editors and fashion critics from around the world. He and his clothes have been described as clever, humorous, distinctive, light hearted, fresh, brilliant both technically plus creatively, conceptually and visually captivating, pretty, trendy must- haves and imaginative. His inspiration comes from what he sees on films and television and from people on the street or some piece of writing he read in the newspaper. Jensen once said in an interview that he is attracted to personalities and places the most. He approaches his new collections with an idea, inspiration, reaction, muse or a continuation of a previous range.

Jensen has always been attracted to fashion – he loved dressing and inventing his own personal style. So far, he is happy with his career as he has done shows, produced collections, dressed up famous and regular clients. More over his work and business have been lucrative. In an interview when he was asked to tell what he would have been if not a designer, Jensen was blank and stated that he never thought about such a scenario.

Among the things he loves, include Danish food, working with Jessica Lange, being organized and television.
