Heidi Klum

A multi-talented German-American TV host and producer, fashion designer, actress, businesswoman and model, Heidi Klum was born on 1st June 1973. She became highly popular after appearing on the cover of Sports Illustrated. In 1997, Klum became the first model from Germany to earn the title of Victoria’s Secret Angel. Following her bright career in modeling, she garnered praise for judging and hosting Project Emmy, a reality television show. Consequently, she was nominated for Emmy in 2008 and won an award for her outstanding performance in 2013. Additionally, she was a spokesperson for H & M and Dannon. Moreover,  she has been seen in many commercials for Volkswagen, McDonald’s and others. On the 50th anniversary of Barbie, Klum became its ambassador in 2009. As far as her acting is concerned, she did supporting or cameo roles in films, including Ella Enchanted, 2004; Blow Dry, 2001; The Devil Wears Prada, 2006; and Perfect Stranger, 2007. In addition, Heidi Klum has acted in television shows, such as Sex and the City, and How I Met Your Mother.

According to Forbes‘ estimate about Klum’s wealth, she is the second on World’s Top Earning Models’ list in 2011. The first was Gisele Bündchen. Klum has been defined as a businesswoman more than a model by Forbes after completing her thirteen years as Victoria’s Secret Angel.

Klum is involved in the fashion industry – she designs collections of clothes both for men and women. Her designs of men fashion were featured in Otto, a catalog from Germany.  Moreover, she designed jewelry for a company named Mouawad, and footwear for Birkenstock. Her jewelry collection was shown on QVC, a television shopping channel in 2006. In thirty-six minutes, fourteen out of sixteen clothes were sold. Klum produced a clothing collection for Jordache which was launch in 2008.

Besides this, Klum also created fragrances, titled Me and Heidi Klum. She designed a makeup collection for Victoria’s Secret which was released in 2007 and then in 2008. Furthermore, she was involved in the growth of a namesake flower, Heidi Klum rose which is found in Germany.

In 2009, when Klum became Barbie’s ambassador, a doll was produced representing her. The same year, she was shown in I Get That a Lot, a CBS TV special. In addition, she appeared in commercials by Dannon‘s Fit and Light brand.

Klum married Seal, English musician and in 2010 they announced that they will be launching a reality television series, Love’s Divine on Lifetime. In the same year, she produced maternity wear collections: Loved by Heidi Klum for Motherhood Maternity and Lavish by Heidi Klum for A Pea in the Pod. Additionally, there is an interactive website where the fans of Heidi Klum can communicate with her virtual doll through interviews, requests and dressing up the doll.

Apart from the glitz and glamour in her life, she designs for charity as well. Klum made t-shirts with butterfly images using the method of screen printing for US Open in 2008. Proceeds went to a charity organization which was preserving the park, home to US Open.

Focusing on Klum’s personal life, she married Ric Pipino in 1997 and divorced him in 2002. A year later, she started a relationship with Flavio Briatore and in 2004 she gave birth to their child. Prior to her delivery, while Klum was still pregnant she began a dating Seal (musician) and later married him. In 2012, the couple separated after which Heidi Klum started dating Martin Kristen who served as her bodyguard.
